rbb-Welle surprised its listeners for its 15th birthday in 2012 with a week-long festival in the newly developed 26-hectare Gleisdreieck public park. The overwhelming success enjoyed by the off-air event left fans hoping for a sequel – and they were not disappointed.
The festival in the park has now established itself as a permanent fixture in the cultural calendar: The former, renaturalised railway junction is transformed into the radioeins outdoor studio every year at the end of summer with live broadcasts, concerts, comedy, children’s theatre and the radioeins sports show.
