Park TV in the Gardens of the World

Musical spring fever

Project profile

The state-owned Grün Berlin group of companies develops, builds and operates public open space and infrastructure projects throughout the city – including the Gardens of the World, which were expanded to 43 hectares as part of the 2017 Berlin International Garden Exhibition, featuring eleven themed gardens and nine garden enclosures. This park, the only one of its kind in Europe, not only offers its visitors natural attractions but also cultural and concert highlights, games, fun and relaxation virtually all year round.

Parks and green spaces in the German capital had to significantly scale back what they were offering at the start of 2020 due to the restrictions imposed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Grün Berlin plans on making it easier for its core audience to stay at home with the new “Park-TV” video format. The hashtag #bleibunterhalten (#stayentertained) will allow the public to accompany members of the Berlin State Orchestra on a virtual tour through the blossoming spring landscapes in the Gardens of the World.

artecom is commissioned with the screenplay and all phases of film production. The music clip of the “Orchestra of Change” will celebrate its premiere in April: Selections from Beethoven’s 6th Symphony, performed at the most enchanting spots in the park, can be enjoyed on YouTube, the Gardens of the World website and Instagram account, as well as on various Facebook pages of the state-owned company.
