Günter Grass, Stefan Heym and Chingiz Aitmatov united in one book
Project profile
EKO Stahl is marking its 50th anniversary by commissioning the artecom team to design and produce a 400-page chronicle of the company. The aim is to compile a comprehensive review of the company’s not-so-everyday history.
More than 200 contemporary witnesses have their say in the elaborately designed publication – women and men of the post-World War II generation, blast furnace operators, steelworkers, engineers, technicians and the management. Prominent authors such as Chingiz Aitmatov, who wrote a multi-page essay on the impressions he gathered during his visit to the factory in November 1999, also contribute. The book has a print run of 10,000 copies.
