With over 1.3 million members, the dbb is the largest German organisation to represent the interests of civil servants and those employed under collective agreements in the public and private service sectors. The trade union conference meets every five years. Above all, it establishes the principles for professional policy work, draws up guidelines for budget management and resolves the contributions. The trade union conference also resolves amendments to the statutes and elects the federal management for a period of five years by secret ballot.
Staat. Machen Wir! (State. Let’s do this!) is the motto chosen for the dbb trade union conference in 2022, where 900 delegates from all areas of the public sector as well as guests and guests of honour have been invited.
