Following a two-year break caused by the pandemic, it was finally time again for a three-day celebration of what Eisenhüttenstadt is all about: Community, diversity and commitment to the future.
The 21st edition of the Eisenhüttenstadt town festival was held in August 2022 in line with the motto Hütte hat was! (Hütte has what it takes!) and was a great success.
In keeping with tradition, the people of Eisenhüttenstadt and their guests were invited to enjoy a relaxed stroll through the heart of the steel town – with some 100,000 visitors taking up the invitation.
Covering a length of more than 800 metres, the event attracted numerous fair stalls, rides ranging from a chain flyer and funfair pasture to a Ferris wheel, plus numerous catering stands and exhibitors on both sides of the two promenades with entertainment and information aimed at all age groups. Following the major event being forced to take a two-year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, the audience was also able to look forward to seeing some of Hütte town festival’s very own attractions again – including the dance in the Goldener Löwe, the HütteTreff, the laser staging as part of the evening show and the Gala of the Region. Visitors were able to participate in hands-on fun in the Kinderland and in the ArcelorMittal marquee.
Lots of extra fun was ensured by the jam-packed town festival programme across three stages on all days of the event – traditionally featuring plenty of local flavour and top names from the music scene.
