We take responsibility for our ecological footprint. Together with FORLIANCE, we have recalculated artecom’s Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) in 2024 – forming the basis for a transparent and effective climate strategy.
The calculation, carried out in accordance with the GHG Protocol, covers all relevant emissions from our business operations – from energy use and mobility to waste and business travel.
Total emissions 2024: 32.28 t CO₂e
(+ 20% safety buffer: 38.74 t CO₂e)
Breakdown by emission scopes:
• Scope 1: Direct emissions from our vehicle fleet – 9.12 t CO₂e
• Scope 2: Indirect emissions from external energy sources – electricity, district heating, e-mobility – 7.91 t CO₂e
• Scope 3: Other indirect emissions, e.g. from waste, purchased internal services, and employee mobility – 15.26 t CO₂e
The analysis clearly shows where our greatest reduction potential lies:
• District heating and electricity consumption (approx. 22% of total emissions)
• Employee mobility including remote work (approx. 15%)
• Vehicle fleet (approx. 15%)
• Waste generation (approx. 10%)
• Fuel- and energy-related emissions (approx. 10%)
These insights provide the foundation for our next steps – from expanding sustainable mobility solutions to developing energy-efficient office structures and consistently reducing waste.
The project focuses on five of the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These include both ending poverty in all its forms (Goal 1) and the protection, restoration, and sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems (Goal 15). In this way, the project brings together climate action, social responsibility and the preservation of our natural foundations of life.
