In my role as Managing Director, I am personally committed to placing sustainability at the centre of our corporate strategy. Every important decision will be viewed through the lens of sustainability – we will consider environmental, social and economic aspects in all our business decisions. I will ensure that our guidelines and objectives for a sustainable event management system (nachhaltiges Veranstaltungsmanagementsystem = NVMS) are consistent and compatible with our strategic direction. I will guarantee the integration of NVMS requirements into our business processes. Furthermore, I will ensure that the necessary human and financial resources are available for our NVMS.

As a manager, I am aware of my role model function. I want to demonstrate through my own actions that sustainability is not just lip service, but a lived practice. For me, this includes actively communicating the importance of an effective NVMS to all employees as well as personally supporting and encouraging all employees who contribute to the effectiveness of our NVMS – including our sustainability officer. I also see my exemplary function in informing our customers about the opportunities offered by an NVMS and motivating them to align their processes with the NVMS.

I personally accept our company’s responsibility towards society, the environment and our artecom employees. For me, this means that together with our ISO officers, I will regularly review the implementation of our corporate and sustainability goals and adjust them if necessary. Moreover, I consider open communication about our progress and challenges to be important, as well as dialogue and collaboration, especially with partners and suppliers who share our values.

I am convinced that sustainable action is the key to long-term success. I am therefore committed to not prioritising short-term profits over long-term sustainability. I want to promote innovations that are economically, ecologically, and socially sensible, and create a corporate culture in which sustainable thinking and acting are firmly anchored.

I acknowledge that the path to full sustainability is challenging and involves change. Therefore, I promise to be open to new ideas and approaches and to make courageous decisions in the interests of sustainability, even if they may seem uncomfortable at first. Promoting and supporting continuous improvement in all areas of our NVMS will also be part of my commitment.

Finally, I would like to emphasise that this commitment is not just a formal declaration, but an expression of my personal conviction and obligation. I stand for responsible business practices and firmly believe that as a company, we have the opportunity and responsibility to effect positive changes in the event industry.”
